How to install Playground Sand

Excavate to depth
For pavers, dig 4-6" below finished grade; for masonry, just enough for joints.

Screed for paver base
1" of bedding sand, screeded level, is the gold standard under interlocking pavers.

Don't over-compact
Sand bedding is loose by design; compacting eliminates the leveling cushion.

Sweep joint sand last
Polymeric joint sand locks pavers; sweep dry, then mist to activate.
