Fixed our washed out drive
Our long gravel driveway had two spots that turned to soup every spring. My son in law suggested crushed concrete for the base and we ordered 10 tons. He graded it in with the tractor and it packed down hard within a week of driving on it. Nice to know it is recycled too. The driver backed all the way down to the low spot and spread the load as he pulled forward so we had less to move.

Good base under the pavers
Ordered 4 tons of crushed concrete for a paver patio base. It has plenty of fines mixed in with the bigger chunks, so it locked up tight after two passes with the plate compactor and a good wetting. The driver rang when he was a few minutes away and tipped it exactly where the cones were. Once it was down I honestly could not tell it from virgin base rock.

Dusty but does the job
We used 6 tons to firm up a muddy parking spot beside the barn. The material compacts great and the truck has not left a rut since. Two small notes: it is dustier than I expected on a dry windy day, and there were a few chunks with wire bits that I pulled out by hand. Delivery itself was easy, the driver handled the gravel lane and the tight gate with no fuss.
